The Journeyman was designed as a Special Edition in the Classic knife series, perfect for Camping, General Utility Work and Hunting Chores. It is a lot of knife in a Compact Package. The blade is a very Traditional one, not usually used on a Fixed Blade knife. This Blade was very common on Large Folders--both Slip Joint and Clasp Knives. The Pattern has it's roots in the Early Sheffield Days--Literally from the 1500's. Early "Barlow's" and "English Jacks" made use of this blade for all-purpose use. The False Grind (Swedge) is very English but also used on the later Remington Patterns of the same Style. The Spine is still Plenty Beefy but thins the point for Fine work. Green Canvas Micarta is one of the most durable handle materials, and finishes up beautifully with a nice mild texture that aids in gripping without being sticky in the hand. We have chosen the Micarta because it is virtually indestructable. Once installed, the finished handle is totally impervious to heat, cold, dampness and even total immersion in water or oil. Handle features finger guard made of 6061 aircraft aluminum. A Deluxe Leather Sheath is included.
